Rebecca is the writer-in-residence at Jean Vanier High School, and was a juror for The Journey Prize 21. Her work has been short-listed for the Journey Prize, the Danuta Gleed Award and the National Magazine Award. Her first book of short stories, Once, was published by Biblioasis and was one of Quill & Quire's 15 Books That Mattered in 2008. Rebecca's stories are occasionally seen in Canadian periodicals and her second collection, *The Big Dream,* is forthcoming from Biblioasis.

Are you self-taught with the Japanese or taking classes?
You can just say, "Dozo" too, which is pronounced "Doe-zoe" (both halves rhyme). This is a very useful thing to know!
I have the websites and books, Kerry and my bro, so exactly "self" taught, but no, no actual teacher.
